I have had diverse opinions about the selection of West Indian Players for the up coming ICC World Cup 2007 Tournament. The most popular view is the feeling that our players should be a younger.

This is not meant to be a reflection of age and performance but rather it is a thought for the future of the sport. Far too many of our players are great regional players but when placed on the International Oval, the light dims.

Young inexperience players who have demonstrated great potentials should have the advantage of playing against the vast skill exhibited in these tournaments and when carefully placed in batting and bowling order will shine just as bright as the foreigners whose almost always bring new faces to the Tour.
