Unpredictable Results - Teams Upset

For most of the world the appearance of two underdogs in the super 8 of the ICC World cup 2007 is a great surprise. This especially so since Pakistan was ranked 4th and were in great contention to play in the finals.

I have not been disappointed. From the recent history of Bangladesh in the sport, I was expecting these underdog to show there new found skills against these staunch teams. I never expect to see them in the semis even though if they managed then they will receive my highest praises. Ireland on the other hand are strong fighters and seem to have the same spirit as New Zealand. Their match up should prove even with possibly unexpected results, especially if their bowling is favoured.

I’m not a big fan of Sri Lanka but they are deserving of kudos. No team so far has shown the come back fight that these guys demonstrated against the South Africans. Perhaps if the skipper had opted to use slips, which he should have given the nature of tail ender batsmen, Malinga would have been celebrating 5 from 5 and Sri Lanka a win. By the way, what is 5 from five called?
